PERSONAL INFORMATION
Dr. Banks was born in Waynesville and grew up in Haywood
County . He returned to western North Carolina to share his
expertise in foot and ankle medicine and surgery. In addition
to the broad training obtained in Chicago and Baltimore, Dr.
Banks has also pursued opportunities in wound care and pedorthics
(prescribing and fabrication of inserts, special shoes and
braces). This insures that the Smoky Mountain Foot Clinic
can provide comprehensive care for all foot and ankle problems. |

Dr. Hale's family moved to Haywood County when he was 12
years old and he has always called Haywood County home. He
is pleased to return to share his expertise with "friends"
and "neighbors." His residency training was obtained
at the Mountain Home VA Medical Center in Mountain Home, TN.

Jeremy has been performing pedorthic services for almost 20 years. Specializing in athletic shoes, he became a Technical Representative for Reebok, while living in Baltimore. After moving to North Carolina in 1996 Jeremy specialized in fitting and modifications for ski, snowboard and skate products. In addition to being an expert in performance applications for athletes, he also possesses an extensive background in conservative treatment for a broad range of foot problems.
Jeremy joined the Smoky Mountain Foot and Ankle Clinic in August 2005, bringing a great deal of experience and expertise in biomechanics of the lower extremity. He is in charge of the diabetic shoe and orthotic/ insert program at our office. Jeremy is skilled in the fabrication of orthotics and in shoe modifications. The Smoky Mountain Foot and Ankle Clinic operates a fully equipped orthotic lab for the fabrication of devises on site.
